Professor Malamati (Tenia) Louta, Vice Rector of the University of Western Macedonia, has been distinguished as Best Editor by the IEEE Communications Society for nine consecutive years (2015–2023), an honorary recognition that highlights her long-standing contribution to science and research.

The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is the world’s largest international scientific and professional organization for engineers, with more than 420.000 members in over 160 countries. The IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) is a specialized branch within IEEE, focusing on the advancement of telecommunications science and technology through high-impact international publications, research and scientific collaborations.

This distinction, awarded by distinguished international scientists, recognizes Professor Louta’s ongoing, systematic and high-level scientific contribution to the fields of telecommunications and electronic systems.

A member of the University of Western Macedonia since 2004, Professor Malamati (Tenia) Louta has played a key role in advancing research, fostering innovation and strengthening the University’s international scientific profile.
