Kostas Nikou, Executive Director UoWM

Kostas Nikou has cultivated a comprehensive background in the private sector and demonstrates a proven track record of implementing strategic efficiencies and fostering a culture of transformation and innovation. With over 20 years of experience in providing technical assistance to SMEs, managing investment projects totaling over €95 million, and mentoring more than 35 startups, he possesses strong expertise in strategic management, financial stewardship, and operational excellence. As the inaugural Executive Director of the University of Western Macedonia, he is leading digital transformation and implementing best practices from the corporate world, while also bringing significant experience in EU-funded programs, international team management, and regional development strategies. He is committed to driving growth and innovation, with a focus on sustainable development and social responsibility.

Konstantinos Nikou holds an MBA from the International Hellenic University (Greece), an MSc in Financial Engineering and Quantitative Analysis from the ICMA Centre, University of Reading (UK) and a BSc in Applied Informatics from the University of Western Macedonia.
