The University of Western Macedonia participated in the commemorative event marking the 80th anniversary of UNESCO, held in Thessaloniki, represented by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Global Engagement and Student Affairs, Prof. Eleni Griva.
The event was organized by the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO, the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cultural Centre of the Region of Central Macedonia, with the sessions hosted in the conference hall of the Regional Council of Central Macedonia.
The focus of the event was the dissemination of UNESCO’s programmes, activities and strategic priorities in Greece, in the fields of culture, education and sustainable development.
The University of Western Macedonia actively participates in the national and international dialogue promoted by UNESCO, contributing to the dissemination of policies and best practices in education, culture and sustainable development.
